Battlefield 6 Beta Gets High Praise, But Players Complain About TTK Issue

It has been a while since I have enjoyed a Battlefield title. The last game in the series that I heavily enjoyed was Battlefield 4, which was released over 10 years ago. A lot has changed since then, but I still understand how to play a shooter game. Which is why it was surprising when I seemingly got killed instantaneously, even when I would duck behind cover. I am not the only one who has spoken about this issue, as many who played the Battlefield 6 beta have said that the TTK (Time-to-Kill) is unfairly short, so much so that a glitch has to be the culprit.

Battlefield 6 Devs Looking Into “Unexpectedly Fast” Time-To-Kill Rates

The first Battlefield 6 beta was certainly a success, with players being so excited about the title that a massive queue was reported before the beta even started. Over the beta weekend, the player count rose to over 500,000 players on Steam, according to SteamDB. With that being said, the game has received mostly high praise from the community. Many have said that the beta has convinced them to pre-order the upcoming title.

While the beta was successful, there were some noticeable issues. Players would ragdoll around the map, the UI was a bit of a mess, oh, and players were getting instantly killed without any reason. It isn’t just the lack of skill; it is an issue that the devs at EA are on the hunt to fix.

If some of you have some video examples of suspected super bullet / unexpectedly fast TTD that you've recorded in the Battlefield 6 Open Beta – send my way 🙂

Battlefield 6 Principal Game Designer Florian recently posted about the “unexpectedly fast” kill times, saying, “If some of you have some video examples of suspected super bullet that you’ve recorded in the Battlefield 6 open beta – send my way.” In a post following it, he said, “Got a bunch of good videos now, thanks folks!”

The community has come through with providing enough evidence that the fast kill times are a thing. Now it is just up to EA to fix the issue once and for all. Hopefully, it is fixed before the next open beta.
