Are you one of the hopefuls who has been screaming about wanting Borderlands 4 since the end of the third game? Well, Borderlands 4 hype is on the rise and it is thanks to Gearbox posting story recaps over the past few weeks. This has generated a buzz for the series that hasn’t been felt since the release of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Of course, some believe this is all being done to hype up the Borderlands movie announcement.

Borderlands 4 is a game that many have been wanting since Borderlands 3 was released, mainly because that game teased the existence of an eighth siren and even more vaults out there in the universe. With not much evidence to go off, fans have been flooding to X with hopes that we will get an announcement for the game in the near future.

The first post on the official Borderlands X page got plenty of fans hopeful that we could be getting some sort of an announcement. After all, a recap of the story is fairly suspicious. Still, there were plenty who said they believed that the post could be referencing the movie which has still not received an official trailer. Even the movie X page hasn’t received a post since August 2023.

A week after the first post, Gearbox posted the second story so far video and it focuses on Borderlands 2. It details the rise of Handsome Jack and how the brave Vault Hunters stopped his evil plans even though he was the true hero of the game. This, once again, has brought the Borderlands 4 hype up a notch. Checking the comments, YouTuber JoltzDude139, famous for posting Borderlands build content, responded with “Mmmmm… I dunno. I think this looks like a BL4 teaser.”

Another big hint to the next game being announced is the change of the Borderlands logo on the X Page. If you check the cover logo at the top of the social media page, it shows a new vault logo tilted to represent what appears to be the number four. It also features new characters from the New Tales from the Borderlands game like Anu and Louie. Strangely enough, Axton and Maya both appear on the logo and some have even said that Maya could be coming back in Borderlands 4.
