Even though it feels like it was just yesterday Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 released, it’s been 6 long months. Now that Call Of Duty fans have sunk countless hours into grinding levels and spending money on the latest and greatest items in the shop, people are looking to the future and what this year’s entry could include. It’s still early, but ong-time zombies fans will be thrilled to hear about this.
In an exclusive report from Tom Henderson and Insider Gaming, it is now being claimed that Call Of Duty 2025 zombies could have six fully-fledged round-based maps throughout the game’s life cycle. According to this report, Call Of Duty 2025 will again be led by Treyarch Games, and while we don’t exactly know what the game could be, it has been claimed that it could be a sequel to Black Ops 6, similar to how the 2023 Modern Warfare III was handled. As it pertains to the game’s zombies mode, it looks like the original crew that consists of Edward Richtofen, Tank Dempsey, Takeo Masaki, and Nikolai Belinski could all be making their long awaited return.
As far as the maps go, it’s understood that the original plan was to build the maps to allow them to be used in other game modes like grief and outbreak. Treyarch is attempting to get more “out there” as far as settings go, which include a map set in a post World War II New York, where the Nazis dropped a nuclear bomb. Another map is being described as being set within a Japanese temple at the foot of an erupting volcano. Other proposed maps include ones set in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and one set in a space station in the Dark Aether. It looks like a feedback session was leaked and one of the maps will feature a transportation system similar to the one found in Tranzit.
Insider Gaming made it clear that they don’t really know if Treyarch went with any of the ideas mentioned above, but likely at least some of them make it into the final game.
