Do you want to change characters in Dead Island 2? Are you getting tired of the slayer that you chose to start the campaign with? Maybe the slayer you chose doesn’t fit your play style and you want to try something new, or maybe you are just bored with the sound of your character’s voice. For whatever reason, you want to change to a different character and give them a try.

There are six different slayers in the game, each with their own unique abilities. As you play through the game, you can develop these skills with cards. Of course, the question still remains. Can you change characters in Dead Island 2?

How to change characters in Dead Island 2

If you are bored with playing as the same character throughout the entire Dead Island 2 campaign, it might bum you out to know that you cannot change your character. When you start the campaign, you will get to choose one of six characters to start the game as. These characters are:

  • Amy
  • Bruno
  • Carla
  • Dani
  • Jacob
  • Ryan

Once you make your choice of what character you want to play as, you will get told that you cannot change this later on and that you are stuck with this slayer throughout the entirety of the story. Once you make this choice, you will have to stick with it. The only way you can change characters is if you choose the slayers option in the main menu and choose to start a new game with a new character. At that point, you will need to start all over again even if your character was level 15 or 20 so make sure you are prepared before taking the leap into a new game.
