I’ve recently taken up replaying Red Dead Redemption 2, which to me is one of the greatest video games ever created. But since my initial playthrough, I’ve yearned for a game that captures that true wild west feeling and allows me to forge my own story as an outlaw. And thanks to Neojac Entertainment Inc.’s newly announced title, Frontier Legends, it looks like all of my wild west dreams have come true.

Living Off the Land

Frontier Legends is an open-world adventure game that combines all my favorite aspects of survival, crafting, and exploration. Corralled within an American western setting, you arrive as a newly minted settler on the frontier who is left to fend for themselves as you learn to survive this newly tapped land. The need to manage resources and explore the wilderness around you becomes ever more apparent, and the hidden mysteries and treasures that are tucked within the far reaches of this untamed world will keep you on your toes with every passing day.

Through your travels, you may abandon the nomadic life and choose to set up a small camp and watch it grow into a thriving frontier settlement that is molded by your leadership prowess. You’ll have the ability to recruit NPC settlers and assign them to daily tasks such as farming, crafting, gathering, and defense. To me, this is the most vital aspect of growing your town simply because if you choose to neglect it, the frontier will no doubt catch up to you.

Can I Get an Outlaw?

As if surviving the brutal yet unforgiving western environment wasn’t enough to scare you out of your boots, the frontier is full of other players who’d like to challenge your spot in the western food chain.

The aspect of Frontier Legends that intrigues me the most is how you are fully in control of your morality and reputation. You can choose to team up with others to trade goods, build, and survive. Or if you can elect to take a far more nefarious route and raid, betray, and fight your way to the top via cooperative multiplayer. This will allow you and your posse to take up various roles such as hunters, builders, bandits, and lawmen. But don’t forget, regardless of your role in society, the choices you make along the way will consistently shape your reputation in the frontier.

Riding Off Into The Sunset

At first glance, the world that Neojac Entertainment Inc is making within the wild American West is something to behold. With intricate morality systems, dynamic weather events, and unpredictable NPC encounters, Frontier Legends looks to lasso in a brand new yet refined open-world experience. If you are eager to hop into this game, you have to hold your horses just a bit longer, partner, because Frontier Legends looks to release in early access in the near future with a full release planned for mid 2026. With all that being said, a single question remains: Are you ready to saddle up and become a legend in the Wild West?
