Dead by Daylight Crossover Characters That Would Be Perfect Additions

One thing that has helped Dead by Daylight last for so long is its ability to consistently add new killers and survivors to its playable roster. Every time someone new is added, the game changes a little bit because of that character’s abilities or perks. While the game has a pretty hefty list of original characters, the real thing that generates excitement is the third-party additions. Crossover characters like Springtrap and Michael Myers have brought all kinds of fans into the game. Here is my list of potential Dead by Daylight crossover characters I think would be perfect additions to the game.

Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th)

Starting off with a lay-up here, Jason Voorhees is the biggest slasher movie star that is currently missing from Dead by Daylight. The early days of the game were really carried by these characters. Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, Chucky, and Ghostface are here, so the Friday the 13th the star would feel right at home.

In the past, Jason’s absence could be explained by rights issues and his own game, but now that the latter is out of commission and the former seems to have been taken care of, maybe a tenth anniversary announcement would be the perfect celebration of the game’s beginning years.

Zoey, Francis, and Louis (Left 4 Dead)

I am a huge fan of the Left 4 Dead games, so I have always loved that Bill has been a survivor in the game. That being said, I’ve always thought it was weird that he was the lone representative. Sure, lorewise, the game explains him taking the trip into the fog during his sacrifice, but that shouldn’t exclude Zoey, Francis, and Louis from showing up.

I want survivor teams filled with all of these team members, and maybe add in tons of voicelines to have them talk to each other like they would in their original game. I know there are some cosmetics already in the game, but it’s time for the actual characters to show up.

Darth Vader (Star Wars)

Here is easily the biggest controversial pick for a Dead by Daylight crossover. Right off the bat, I am not a horror fan and I don’t like Star Wars. That said, Behaviour has already shown it is willing to bring in non-horror killers and I love the willingness to be open to that.

Darth Vader has the intimidation factor and a bunch of unique aspects to him when compared to the rest of the killers. The Force could be implemented into his survivor carrying and mori, and there is nothing close to the lightsaber being a main weapon. I also love the idea of hearing The Imperial March while being chased by him.

Cindy and Brenda (Scary Movie)

Another non-horror addition, Cindy and Brenda from the Scary Movie series would be so funny to have as a Dead by Daylight crossover. If Anna Faris and Regina Hall can come in and bring in their comedic chops, I would be in love. Sure, there would be some players that lash out because “Dead by Daylight shouldn’t be funny,” but come on man, we’ve got survivors stopping people like Vecna by slapping him with a pallet. Dead by Daylight, in my opinion, already isn’t a scary game and can be quite funny. Don’t go too far with it, but some spoof movie representation would be an amazing addition.

Lady Dimitrescu and Ethan Winters (Resident Evil Village)

Resident Evil already has two chapters with various characters brought in from the long-standing horror survival series’ history. So far, we’ve got just about all of the classic representations, so now it’s time to bring in more modern choices.

Since we don’t really know enough about Resident Evil Requiem, I can’t really say much about that yet, but Grace Ashcroft and a monster from that game could be good choices. Instead, I’m going to focus on Lady Dimitrescu, who took over the internet following Resident Evil Village’s release. She’s a big vampire lady and we all want her to slash survivors with her claws.

I also included Ethan Winters because he’s the protagonist of the game, but I don’t feel great about his addition, considering Capcom never wants to show his face. I’m not sure Behaviour could get away with hiding his face in Dead by Daylight.

Tim Curry

There are plenty of people I bet who would like to see Pennywise added as a killer in a Dead by Daylight crossover. Without ever watching It, I’m sure the new and old versions would both be fine additions, but I would rather love to see a representation of Tim Curry, the actor, similar to how Nicolas Cage is in the game.

In 2012, Curry suffered a stroke that left him in a wheelchair, but he actually does a lot of voice acting work even today. Hearing Curry react to the world around him with various references to roles in his past would be a very awesome addition to the game.

Predator and Dutch (Predator)

As someone who has never watched any of the Predator movies, I think it would just be really cool to have this killer in addition to the Xenomorph alien we already have. With them being the ultimate hunter, I think there is a lot of room for Behaviour to bring in its cloaking and tracking abilities to hunt down survivors while they work on generators.

Additionally, since we have Ellen Ripley with the Alien chapter, Dutch makes perfect sense as the survivor representation for a Predator chapter. I highly doubt Arnold Schwarzenegger would be willing to add his voice to the character for a video game, but just the character being there is enough.

Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman)

Image via Universal Pictures

As a teenager, I really enjoyed watching the Hugh Jackman led Van Helsing movie. It wasn’t until recent years that I actually learned that people apparently don’t like it, so I guess this wouldn’t be the best addition, but I’m going to dream for a moment. Also, Hugh Jackman likely isn’t reprising that role for a video game he’s likely never heard of.

The thing with survivors is that not all of them are incapable of defending themselves in their original worlds. People like Lara Croft have proven with the right tools, they can survive any encounter. Unfortunately, The Entity strips that away from them, so Van Helsing not having his weapons fits here.

Big Daddy and Elizabeth (Bioshock)

This is without a doubt, my biggest wish for a Dead by Daylight crossover in the future. I am a massive fan of the Bioshock games, and I think a Big Daddy would be the perfect addition to the game. Let them chase survivors around with their drill, which sets up for a gruesome mori, and incorporate the Little Sisters into the game with some vents around the maps. Survivors could grab ADAM by finding the Little Sisters and use a plasmid to protect themselves momentarily. I love when a killer brings new elements into the game that also affect how the survivors play like Vecna and The Pig.

As for the survivor addition, Elizabeth is the star of Bioshock Infinite, and though she never interacted with a Big Daddy, I just don’t feel you can pick Booker or Jack over her. You can easily write away her tear powers by saying she entered The Fog shortly before her death in Burial at Sea and think of all the cosmetics she could have from her various outfits in Bioshock Infinite.

Ian Malcolm (Jurassic Park)

Image via Universal Pictures

While I think Jeff Goldblum on his own would be a good addition similar to my Tim Curry pick above, I think focusing on Ian Malcolm would be funnier. This guy has already dealt with many horrors dealing with dinosaurs, now he has to run away from crazed killers? I love the idea. Whether Goldblum would show up to reprise his character for a video game, I don’t know, but you throw him into the cast and put a bunch of Jurassic Park merchandise cosmetics in the shop and you got some easy money.
