Do you remember when Belle was first shown off in the Disney Dreamlight Valley trailers? She had a small cameo in them which excited fans. Many couldn’t wait for her arrival. What we got, however, was far from what Gameloft put in the trailer. Belle’s design has always been janky since she first appeared in the valley. Unfortunately, the Disney Dreamlight Valley Belle bundle didn’t improve on this design in the slightest. In fact, it’s gotten worse.
A popular Reddit thread has shown what Belle looks like in her new dress. While the dress itself looks great, her character model somehow looks worse in it. Many have pointed out that her neck seems to be all out of wack, her hair is poorly done, her arms are misshapen, and she seems to blink less. Her unblinking stare is starting to creep many fans out.
This is a reminder that not everything always transitions well when placed in the final game but Gameloft really seems to have dropped the ball with this character model in particular. No other character looks this bad, not even Gaston. The comments following the post are rather brutal such as one who posted, “Gameloft, stop giving Belle drugs, please…” Hopefully, this concerned fan’s pleas will be heard by Gameloft.
Another fan posted, “I truly dislike Belle and Beast in this game, and I don’t interact with them unless a task forces me to. Worst character additions to date.” This is just sad considering many have stated that Belle is their favorite princess and they wish that she was better. If you haven’t taken a good look at Belle recently, stop by her home and see how poor her character design truly is especially now that the Disney Dreamlight Valley Belle bundle has been added. Now we can only hope that Gameloft pays attention and does something to change the way this poor princess looks.
