A lot is changing around Eternity Isle. Thanks to the Spark of Imagination falling into Jafar’s hands and Oswald being released from the ruins, you have a lot to deal with. Are you prepared to stop Jafar’s evil plans? Before you can do this, you will need to figure out what is going on with all these black-and-white objects. The Monochrome Mystery walkthrough in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Monochrome Mystery quest becomes available after you complete the Spark of Imagination quest and unlock Oswald, freeing him from the ancient ruins. Once you have done this, you will get access to the quest via Merlin. Talk to Merlin to start the quest and he will task you with talking to EVE, Rapunzel, and Gaston. You will also need to take pictures of the following items:
- The boat in the center of the WIld Tangle
- The crates near Gaston’s shipwreck in the Wastes
- The books in EVE’s secret chamber by The Docks
These items aren’t difficult to spot thanks to them turning black and white. With that being said, you should also see each of the characters near the spot where the items have turned monochrome. This will make tracking them down easy so you can talk to them.
Once you have completed both tasks, return to Merlin and he will be rather confused by what is happening. Time has become quite messed up and it will need to be fixed at some point. For now, however, you have more important tasks at hand such as welcoming Oswald to Eternity Isle. Complete the Oswald’s Many Dimensions quest to unlock his home and truly welcome him to the area. This will make it feel like he truly belongs with the rest of your Disney pals.
