Don’t Nod, the developer of the original Life is Strange, Tell Me Why, and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, has announced they have signed a deal with Netflix to develop a narrative game based on a major IP.

The news comes via a press release given by Don’t Nod, which focuses on the company’s financial standing in the first half of its fiscal year. The game, which will be a narrative title, much like the studio’s history would lead you to believe, is currently in development at Don’t Nod Montreal, and Netflix will be publishing it, so expect it to be available through a Netflix subscription. Other platforms it will come to are unknown as of this writing.

What Netflix Game is Don’t Nod Making?

Unfortunately, we don’t know what Netflix IP Don’t Nod could be making a game about. Our first thought immediately runs to Stranger Things, but with that series set to finish its run very soon, we’re not sure a video game releasing a few years down the road makes much sense. We also highly doubt that a Witcher game based on the show would be viable, but we don’t know how the rights management works out between Netflix and CD Projekt Red with what they make surrounding that IP.

While those are games that we don’t necessarily think are likely to happen right now, this could be an indication of Netflix trying to make a game based on K-Pop Demon Hunters. In 2025, there is not a more “major IP” in the Netflix library. While Sony produced and developed the film, they also sold all rights for it to Netflix. That film quickly became the most-watched movie in Netflix history, with many of the songs being constantly replayed on levels similar to Frozen’s Let It Go.

Of course, without an official announcement, this is all speculation. If Don’t Nod is making a K-Pop Demon Hunters game, they would have to be focused on retaining the talent from the movie and producing similar catchy music alongside Sony’s involvement, meaning there would be a good chance of the game coming to PS5 (or PS6, potentially).
