A Dragon’s Dogma 2 NPC murder spree is being planned…at least in theory. It has become public knowledge that NPCs are tied to framerate in the new Dragon’s Dogma game. Because of this, some fans of the series seem to be planning on going on a murder spree to enhance their FPS. Once again, in theory, many people think this massive genocide will work and get their FPS up past the 60 frames-per-second mark.

A page on Reddit appeared recently with the idea of “a community-made list of inconsequential NPCs you can kill to boost FPS.” That’s right, many are now taking the NPC-killing idea to a whole new level. One member replied “I guess any non-shop keeper NPC can definitely go. Maybe you can keep your beloved.” They even stated that “guards can go down too.” Basically, the idea is to get rid of any and all NPCs. Have fun wandering the world when it is just you and your Pawns.

Other users suggested simply killing an NPC after finishing their quest. At least this way you will have all the rewards and won’t miss out on anything. Another user said, “Among all the things I would do mass genocide for, more FPS ranks pretty reasonable.” It is clear that the Reddit community is growing quite feral in their wait for the game and the consequences of having additional characters on-screen.

The Dragon’s Dogma 2 NPC murder spree suggestion at least brought in some great memes. For starters, you have Thanos expressing his sorrow for those who must die. Check out some of the best we found below:

Of course, there are some who expressed that they simply don’t care about the FPS being lower since they grew up playing the original which played at a mere 30 frames per second. We are on the side of keeping the NPCs breathing so we have at least a few people to talk to as we make our way through the various towns.
