Gen Con 2024 in Indianapolis is right around the corner. With dates sets for Thursday August 1st – Sunday August 4th, TTRPG gamers are already buying their badges and planning their event schedule. If you want to throw some cosmic horror into the mix, Chaosium’s Call of Cthulhu TTRPG is hosting an exclusive mega-game event with a limited number of tickets available.

The event is called New Year’s Revolution. Don’t be confused, the event is still happening Friday August 2nd at Gen Con with a start time of 7pm EDT. This is an interactive, hidden-identity style game for players 18 and older. The event is new-player friendly, so you don’t need to have prior experience with Call of Cthulhu. It is expected to last three hours and will be for a group of 32 – 56 players. Now that’s a mega event!

In this exclusive, first-of-its kind original interactive game, play with your tablemates to defend your “city” from the invasion of cultists! Will you secretly be a cultist yourself, luring your city to its own destruction and inviting in Mommy Elder One? Or will you be an investigator, singing Auld Lang Syne and keeping the otherworldly evils at bay, before the New Year’s Eve clock strikes midnight, in 1924? – event description on Gen Con’s website

The game’s Keeper will be Becca Scott, the co-founder of the Good Time Society production company which creates community-driven gaming content. You’ve also likely seen her on Vampire the Masquerade: LA by Night, Geek & Sundry, Graveyards of Arkham, Nerdist, and more.

Tickets are on sale now and cost $120 a piece. The ticket page on Gen Con’s website has the contact information for three people you can reach out to if you have questions or concerns about the game.

Will you join the cult or stop it? The countdown begins on August 2nd.
