Have you run into the Addled Frog in Baldur’s Gate 3? Plenty of creatures are worth talking to in the game, so having the Speak with Animals spell is almost necessary. That is unless you want to miss out on some cool interactions. The Addled Frog is one of the many creatures you can speak to in Baldur’s Gate 3. The creature can be found jumping about in the Sunlit Wetlands.

Interacting with this creature can give multiple results with some being good and others being bad. Be careful what you say and how you act or things could go very wrong. This guide will answer the question of what to do with the Addeled From in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Baldur’s Gate 3: What to do with the Addled Frog

The Addled Frog can be found in the Sunlit Wetlands to the north of the Riverside Teahouse. If you have come down here, it is probably because you had a run-in with Auntie Ethel. Before interacting with the Addled Frog, here are a few suggestions:

  • Be a Druid or have a Druid character interact with it
  • Have the Speak with Animals spell active

There are multiple routes that this interaction can go in. Interacting with the Addled Frog under specific circumstances can either get your character killed or get the party some hidden treasure.

Interacting with the Addled Frog before fighting Auntie Ethel (With Speak with Animal active)

If you choose to interact with the Addled Frog before fighting Auntie Ethel, you can speak to it. It will give you warnings about Auntie Ethel, leading you to believe that the frog’s pain is caused by the hag.

Those who chose to be a Druid will get to take this interaction a bit further. They can use their Druidic powers to further question the frog about what happened to it. Be careful, however, because a prolonged interaction can result in a fight.

Interacting with the Addled Frog before fighting Auntie Ethel (Without Speak with Animal active)

Interacting with the Addled Frog without the Speak with Animal spell active will result in the frog fighting you. Unfortunately, no matter the route here, you will most likely end up fighting with the creature and you should just ignore it.

Interacting with the Addled Frog after the Auntie Ethel fight

After fighting Auntie Ethel, you can return to the Addled Frog and speak with it. It will be very happy now that the hag has been dealt with. So happy, in fact, that it will lead you to a hidden treasure in the swamp. Of course, those with a high perception skill may have already discovered this hidden treasure but it is a nice gesture nonetheless.
