The biggest criticism in Breath of the Wild was that some players did not like how weapons broke so easily. It didn’t matter what you had; everything had durability and would eventually break. To the dismay of those players, that system has returned in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. However, can you repair your weapons so you can keep using them?
Can you repair items in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
Unfortunately, no, you can not repair weapons in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. When a sword, shield, or bow has broken, there is no getting it back, just finding a new one to replace it. In contrast, your armor pieces have unlimited durability, so they do not break. Don’t worry about them.

Why is The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom $70?
While you will have to eventually say goodbye to your favorite Tears of the Kingdom weapon, you can get more out of them before they break. Thanks to the handy Fuse ability, you can combine items to your weapon to add some durability. For example, if you fuse a boulder onto a stick, it will increase the damage and make it longer until it breaks. Of course, this isn’t a permanent solution, but it does make them last longer.
The nice thing is that you can fuse so many things together in Tears of the Kingdom. Just about everything will give your item some new utility. Be sure to practice with as much as you can. You might find your new favorite combo for fighting Ganon’s minions. Experimentation is a huge component of enjoying this game.
