When a game like Palworld very openly wears its Pokémon influences on its sleeve, you automatically will start comparing the two. Sure, Palworld is more of a survival game, but these creatures look like something that easily could fit in a Pokémon game if you removed the guns. With all of that said, what other ways is Palworld similar? Does Palworld have evolution?
Do Pals evolve in Palworld?
No, Palword does not have evolution. Every creature that you come across will stay the way it is forever. It will not change form after reaching a certain level or meeting other arbitrary tasks. You can keep training them and making them more powerful and get new abilities but don’t expect them to make big leaps forward like Pokémon’s evolutions.
While evolution is not present in Palworld, there are plenty of other aspects of the game you might enjoy. For example, shiny Pals can be found in the wild if you feel like you need to grind for every off-color creature. You can also breed two of your favorite Pals in the fusion system, which gives the offspring features and characteristics passed down by its parents.
You should really go into Palworld expecting more of an experience similar to Ark: Survival Evolved with little bits of Pokémon mixed in. The survival genre is more prevalent here, with a focus on securing and using resources to not only survive, but better yourself along the way.
While there is an aspect of catching various creatures in Palworld and training them, we doubt that the game will ever add evolution. Maybe in a far-flung future where we see a potential sequel or massive expansion, but we think if the game were going to have that aspect, it would be present in the early access version.
