The Blade of Mercy is one of the earlier Talismans you can get in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC for Elden Ring. Despite this, it is actually quite powerful – increasing your attack power after each critical hit. It is worth getting if you are someone who can get critical hits a lot. After all, you will want to get all the damage increases you can get to deal with these new and difficult foes. We also appreciate that it is a subtle nod to Bloodborne with its name. So let’s break down how to get the Blade of Mercy in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.
Where to find the Blade of Mercy in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
To obtain the Blade of Mercy in Elden Ring, you first need to access the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC via the Cocoon of the Empyrean in the back of Mohg’s boss arena. Once this is done, you will spawn near the Gravesite Plan Site of Grace in the Realm of Shadow. From this Site of Grace, head northeast to the Scorched Ruins down the hills covered in graves.
On the eastern side of the Scorched Ruins, you will see a staircase in a building covered by a red tarp. Climb the staircase and follow the path past the enemies that throw items at you. Continue up the second, smaller set of stairs and hang a right. You will see another tarp-covered building. Run up this building section to reach the highest point of the ruins. You will be able to open the door at the top.
Inside the tallest building in the Scorched Ruins, you will find the Blade of Mercy. Simply open the chest in this room to find the item. With the Blade of Mercy equipped, you will want to start focusing on getting more critical hits so you can increase your attack power. If you can do this, it is a powerful tool to have.
