Are you ready to foam up the competition? The Foamstars release date is right around the corner. This new title developed by Square Enix is a 4v4 shooter that has you shooting foam instead of bullets. In a design that seems similar to Splatoon, you can whip yourself across the maps using the foam your guns shoot in three different game modes. When is the Foamstars release date?
Foamstars is set to release on February 6, 2024. This was announced earlier in January via the official PlayStation X page. Of course, this was now the only announcement made at the time. The game will be free to play if you have PlayStation Plus as it will be part of the PlayStation Plus monthly games. Considering you need a PlayStation Plus account to play the game, anyone who gets it at launch should be getting the game for free.
Alongside the announcement, more information was made available on the official Square Enix website such as the game modes and what characters will be available at launch. You can now find information on each of the characters such as their background, Bubble Beastie Name, and weapon type.
At launch, the game will have three game modes; Rubber Duck Party, Happy Bath Survival, and Smash the Star. There has been no information about the possibility of future updates for the game. Since this is a live service game, we imagine that there will be seasons involved as well as other events that will allow players to earn rewards for their characters. We will have to wait for future updates about the game for more information. For now, just get ready to foam up the competition when the game launches on February 6, 2024.
