Exploring the various islands in Palworld will require quite a lot of traversal. Starting out, it will depend on a lot of running and climbing, but as you progress, you will get a bunch of useful gear to make this much easier. One of these items is the Grappling Gun, but once you unlock it with Ancient Technology, you might have a hard time figuring out how to actually make it. Here is how to craft the Grappling Gun in Palworld.
Where do you make the Grappling Gun in Palworld?
To craft a Grappling Gun in Palworld, you will need to be at least level 20. Oddly enough, the item itself can be unlocked as early as level 12, but it can not be made without a Weapon Workbench, which isn’t available until level 20.
As you might imagine from the name, the Weapon Workbench focuses on letting you make weapons. Even though the Grappling Gun isn’t technically used for damaging enemies, it takes the spot of a weapon when you make it, so that is why it is used there. Why the table that you make it at is unlocked so much later than the Grappling Gun itself, we don’t know.
The Weapon Workbench needs 15 Ingot, 50 Wood, and 10 Nails to build after you spend three Technology Points to unlock it. You can then find the Grappling Gun, and maybe even the Mega Grappling Gun if you unlock it, in the table’s menu. It requires 10 Paldium Fragments, 10 Ingot, and 30 Fiber.
The Grappling Gun is a pretty useful item for quickly getting up mountains and over gaps. It does not latch when firing it at Pals. There is a short cooldown after firing it, but the Grappling Gun is very useful for traversing the wilds of Palworld.
