What to feed owls in Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Storybook Vale

Owls are one of the animal companions that were added with the Storybook Vale expansion for Disney Dreamlight Valley. If you don’t have this expansion, you won’t be able to find this animal. Head to Storybook Vale and explore the Bind. You will see owls mainly around the library where the Lorekeeper is. Now that you have found an owl, you will need to know how to feed it. To do this, you will need to go to Goofy’s Stall in the Bind.

Owls prefer to eat Barley. To obtain this ingredient, you will need to purchase it from Goofy’s Stall in the Bind or purchase the seeds and grow it yourself. If you purchase the seeds, it will take you about 15 minutes to grow them into the plant. Once the plant is grown, you can bring the Barley to an owl and feed it. You don’t need to do anything special to feed owls like you do with other animals as they will just let you walk up to them. There are other animals that require special reactions from the player such as alligators which require you to move at specific times to prevent them from running away. Luckily, owls are easy to feed and require little effort to befriend them. Make sure to feed the owls each day so you can get them as an animal companion.
