How to get the Signet Ring and locate Hidden Treasure in Super Mario RPG
Before you can find Hidden Treasure in Super Mario RPG, you need the Signet Ring. This ring can be equipped to your accessory slot and will notify you when a treasure is hidden nearby. To obtain the Signet Ring, go to the Mushroom Kingdom. Once there, locate the shop. The shop is located near the exit to the kingdom and can be spotted easily thanks to the spinning mushroom sign.
Go inside the shop and go down the stairs in the back right corner. This will lead you to the basement. Talk to the Toad down here and he will tell you to stand in front of him and jump. Follow this Toad’s directions and you will hit your head on a hidden treasure chest.
From here, continue to talk to the Toad and exhaust his dialogue. During the conversation, he will gift you the Signet Ring, letting you know about its abilities in the process.
Equip the Signet Ring to your accessory slot in Mario’s equipment. When you do this, you will get a notification in the upper right corner of the screen when there is a hidden treasure chest nearby. While this won’t show you the location of the hidden treasure chest, it will at least give you an idea of where to look so you don’t miss anything.
