Charcoal is one of the many resources you can get in Palworld. Unfortunately, it isn’t one that is just given to you or found right away on Palpagos Island. Instead, you need to do a bit of searching for it. You also need to get your hands on specific types of Pals that can get you the material.
There are other resources you may also be looking for in Palworld. For instance, you might also want to know the best ore farm. You can also farm leather in Palworld. This guide will focus on showing you how to get charcoal in Palworld.
Where to find Charcoal in Palworld
To obtain charcoal, you need to build a furnace. At first, this will be a primitive furnace made from wood, stone, and flame organs. Later on, you can make an improved furnace using stone, cement, and flame organs. Once you have a furnace built, you need to get a pal with the Kindling Ability. These are fire-type Pals that you can find across Palpagos Island. Early on, these include Rooby and Foxparks. Later on, you can get Arsox and Pyrin Noct.
Now that you have a furnace and a fire-type Pal at your camp. Interact with the furnace to get the crafting menu to appear. Among the materials you can make, you will see charcoal listed. Select charcoal and then select how much you want to make. It requires two pieces of wood to make one charcoal. Keep this in mind as you create your charcoal and be sure to farm some wood as well. This will ensure that you have plenty to burn without needing to farm for more of it.
Any fire-type Pal that you have in your camp will come burn the wood to get you the material. Early fire-type Pals will do this slowly while later-game Pals will be able to burn through the wood more quickly to get you that charcoal.
