Cherry Trees are now in Minecraft via the Trails and Tales update and they’re beautiful. Not only do they give you access to pink wooden items, but they also look great on their own. The falling Cherry Leaves really bring a new feeling of calmness to the game. If you want to plant a bunch of your own Cherry Trees, here is how to get Cherry Saplings in Minecraft Trails and Tales.
Where to get Cherry Saplings in Minecraft
Like other items of similar value in Minecraft, Cherry Saplings are obtained by breaking down Cherry Leave blocks. While you can use Shears to pick up the blocks, striking them with anything else will destroy them. When this happens, there is a chance for a pink Cherry Sapling to fall on the ground.

While you can find Cherry Saplings in the Creative menu, Survival players will be forced to find the Cherry Grove biome to find these trees. Be on the lookout for the noticeable pink trees in hilly and mountainous areas.
Once you have Cherry Saplings, you can plant them on top of any dirt block. This will include the following:
- Coarse Dirt
- Dirt
- Grass Block
- Moss Block
- Mud
- Muddy Mangrove Roots
- Mycelium
- Podzol
- Rooted Dirt
When the Cherry Sapling is planted, make sure it has at least eight blocks straight above it free. The sapling will not sprout into a full-grown tree if any blocks are in that area. It will eventually give you the Cherry Blossom resources as long as it has room to grow. If you use Bone Meal on the sapling, it will cause the sapling to sprout immediately.
