The Light Dragon is definitely the most tragic part of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s story. That said, it is also probably the most helpful spot for powerful items. Not only can you get the Master Sword from this creature, but you can get powerful items to fuse to your weapons. Here is how to find the Light Dragon and get its horn in Tears of the Kingdom.
Where is the Light Dragon in Tears of the Kingdom?
Compared to the other three dragons in Tears of the Kingdom, the Light Dragon can be the most difficult to find. The others usually have an area they stick to. The Light Dragon goes all over Hyrule, so there aren’t any good spots to camp and wait for it. She is also the only dragon that doesn’t go underground. Some say that she likes to stick to the outer boundaries of the map, but we have also found her flying above Hyrule Castle in the middle. You’ll just have to get lucky and look all over for her. That said, if you have not grabbed the Master Sword yet and have collected all Dragon Tear memories, she will be marked on the map for you.
How to get the Light Dragon’s Horn in Tears of the Kingdom
After you have gotten on top of the Light Dragon, run to the front of it and stand on its hair. Use any weapon to strike the blue horns jutting out of it, and the Light Dragon’s Horn item will drop for you. Grab it quickly, or it will fall off to the ground after a couple of seconds.
You can only get one Dragon Horn item at a time. When you strike a glowing spot on it, all other glowing areas will dim until the next Blood Moon. You can also run along its back and pick up Spike Shard items.
The Light Dragon’s Horn item can be fused to any of your weapons. When attached, it adds 20 attack power and will heal you when you make contact with an enemy. Because of this, we recommend putting it on a melee weapon so you slowly heal yourself while fighting. It only does a quarter of a heart at a time but is still useful for healing.
