In Starfield, you will want to get your hands on everything. Whether it is grabbing all of the best weapons or packing away every little piece of junk you can, you can interact with many objects. If you want to, you can even pick up and move objects without putting them in your inventory. Here is how to move objects in Starfield.
How to pick up and move objects in Starfield
To pick up and move objects in Starfield, you will need to train your cursor on the item you are trying to move. You can pick it up when you are close enough by holding A on controller or E on PC. At this point, the item should move along with your cursor whenever you spin and turn. When it is moving, you can let go of the button.
You can let go of the item at any point by pressing A or E again. While holding the object, you can rotate it by pressing LT or RT on a controller or left-click or right-click on your mouse. Press the left stick in on controller or shift on PC to change the axis while rotating. Press X on controller or R on your keyboard to throw the item.
You can move and rotate any item that can go into your inventory and some that can’t, but it is rare for that to happen. Be sure you do not try to move items that say Steal on them instead of Take. Even though you don’t put it in your inventory when you move them, the owner will still yell at you for stealing and can put a bounty on you. You cannot use this as a fast and easy way to steal everything from shop owners. Regardless, it is pretty easy to move objects in Starfield.
