Your adventure in Starfield will be a long, drawn-out experience that sees you going all over the galaxy and having numerous kinds of interactions. With a journey as large as this, you can expect to do a lot of leveling up. Filling out that skill tree will take a lot of time, but where is the limit? Is there a max level cap in Starfield?

Does Starfield have a level cap?

No, there is not a level cap for Starfield. You are awarded with an achievement once you hit level 100, but you can continually work to level up your character and advance them as long as you want. As you might expect with a game as large as Starfield, it isn’t a case where you are going to be plowing through levels super quickly anyway, so the grind to 100 and beyond will take a while.

A level cap wouldn’t make much sense for players because Starfield also has a New Game Plus mode. If your character hit a wall where they couldn’t progress further, there wouldn’t be much reason to keep returning. Instead, players can just keep grinding out their adventure as much as they want without fear of being stunted.

If there actually is a level cap in Starfield, it is so egregiously high that no player could reach it through normal means. It could be a bar that is set around 100,000, which would necessitate someone devoting their entire life to reaching it. Just go about your game as you normally would, and don’t worry too much about where your player level is. Maybe some modders or data miners can find out if there is an unobtainable level and see what that looks like to reach.
