With over dozens of Pals for you to find in Palworld, there are going to be some late-game ones you want as early as possible. Taking them on when they vastly out-level and overpower you isn’t the call. Luckily, through the game’s breeding system, you can create some of these monstrosities very early and add them to your team. For Gyarados fans from Pokémon, Jormuntide is definitely one that will catch your eye when you see it in the wild, but it will be level 45. Here is a Jormuntide breeding guide to get it early in Palworld.
How to breed Jormuntide in Palworld
Before you can breed Jormuntide in Palworld, you will need a Breeding Farm built on your base, and we recommend you be around level 29, as one of the Pals you need to catch is at that level. Follow these steps to get your Jormuntide:
- Build a Breeding Farm
- Get to around level 29
- Catch Sweepa
- Catch Beakon
- Put Sweepa and Beakon in the Breeding Farm
- Make a Cake and put it in the Breeding Farm
- Get a Huge Dragon Egg
- Put the Huge Dragon Egg in an Egg Incubator
Where to catch Sweepa and Beakon
As you can see from the steps above, you need a Sweepa and a Beakon to breed a Jormuntide, even though these two Pals have nothing in common with the water/dragon serpent. By the time you are level 29, you likely have found and caught a Sweepa. The boss location where you can find a level 11 one of these is south of the Small Cove fast travel point. Swee will surround it for you also to battle.
Next, you need Beakon, an electric bird. These creatures are usually pretty high-level threats, but you can find another boss location that houses a level 29 one south of the Deep Bamboo Thicket fast travel point. There are a lot of Galeclaws in this area that are in the low teens, so consider taking them out first so you can focus on the boss.
Obviously, to be able to breed your Sweepa and Beakon, one must be male and the other female. Keep visiting the spots above after they respawn to keep trying.
How to hatch Jormuntide through breeding
After you have your Sweepa and Beakon caught, return to your base and assign them to the Breeding Farm. You will now need to make a Cake at a cooking station. The Cake recipe is:
- 5 Flour
- 8 Red Berries
- 7 Milk
- 8 Eggs
- 2 Honey
Cake takes quite a while to cook, so use a high-level Kindling Pal.
When you have your Cake, put it in the chest at the Breeding Farm and wait for your Pals to make a Huge Dragon Egg. When you are able to pick it up, put it in an Egg Incubator and wait for it to hatch to get your own Jormuntide.
