Let’s face it, there have been a lot of single-player Star Wars titles that have been released. Back in the day, we had Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. Recently, we’ve had games like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor. The trend of single-player Star Wars titles has a long history with only a few ever breaking the mold with a multiplayer focus (looking at you Battlefront). So when it comes to Star Wars Outlaws, will there be any form of online options or maybe even local co-op? Is Star Wars Outlaws multiplayer?
Does Star Wars Outlaws have online or local co-op?
Nope. If you were hoping to play Star Wars Outlaws online or with your friends, it does not have online multiplayer. The game also doesn’t have local or online co-op so you won’t be able to play split-screen either. This may be unfortunate news for some but it isn’t anything out of the ordinary for Star Wars games. Only a few such as Star Wars Battlefront or Lego Star Wars have offered online modes or co-op gameplay.

While the game doesn’t have multiplayer, that doesn’t mean that there won’t be any online elements. After all, Star Wars Outlaws will require an internet connection to install the game whether you purchase it digitally or physically – this is something that has angered much of the Star Wars and gaming community.
The game focuses on the story of Kay Vess, an outlaw seeking freedom and the chance to start a new life. Star Wars Outlaws is the first of the Star Wars games to be a truly open-world title without being shoved into a small map or routed through various straightforward corridors. So while the game doesn’t offer the ability to play with your friends, there are some elements that are new to the franchise as a whole.
