Will Alan Wake 2 have a new game plus mode? New game plus is something that tons of games have nowadays. From souls-like action RPGs to survival horror games, developers have been adding in the game mode to give our games more replayability. Even games like Resident Evil have been getting more game modes that make them more enticing.
When it comes to Alan Wake 2, will you be able to play as Saga Anderson in a more difficult setting with additional bonuses? This question has been passed around a bunch and it’s time it got an answer. Will Alan Wake 2 have a new game plus mode?
Alan Wake 2 – Is there new game plus?
Yes, and no. Alan Wake 2 will not have new game plus at launch. The good news, however, is new game plus will be added after launch. There is no officially confirmed release date as to when it will be announced. The developers made sure to post about the inclusion of a new game plus mode on X (formerly Twitter).
The following are all details shared by the developer about the new game plus mode:
- You will retain all of your weapons and upgrades
- Additional Manuscript Pages and new video content will be added
- Nightmare difficulty will be included
This all sounds like great news. We are excited that new game plus will come to the game later on. Of course, if you plan on running the game multiple times, you will want to make sure you know the Alan Wake 2 PC system requirements. If you are playing on PlayStation or Xbox Series X/S, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.
While it would be nice to know when the release date for the mode will be added, the developers were sure to include that the release date is to be determined. We will be sure to update this guide when we know an official date for the release of the new game plus mode.
