There are a decent number of armor sets in Helldivers 2 but any good Helldiver knows there can never be enough. Since the game’s launch, many have suggested that Arrowhead add more weapons, armor, and stratagems to the game. Some go the extra mile and create full concepts for the items they would like to see. We have seen this already when one user took it upon themselves to give armor sets the appropriate effects. Now, a player has gone out of their way to create full armor concepts that we would love to see added to Helldivers 2.

Reddit user ChrisEmpyre posted armor sets that they would like to see in Helldivers 2 and we have to admit that they are pretty great. These armors also come with some great effects that would be perfect if Arrowhead decides to make abilities match the armor type.

Designed some new armor concepts (and some other things I’d like to see)

Among the armors that the user posted are:

  • Mule – Get two additional charges for any backpack and team reloads are 25% faster
  • Hazmat – 75% resistance to bile damage and 95% resistance to gas damage
  • Ammunition Belt – Two additional magazines for each weapon and 10% reduced recoil
  • Drone Signal Booster – Increases drone aggro and moving range by 200%
  • Juggernaut – 50% resistance to melee damage and 50% increased melee damage
  • Fireproof – 75% resistance to fire damage and automatically detects if the wearer is on fire and extinguishes it after a short delay
  • Mechanic – Allows you to repair damage to sentry and exosuits
  • Sniper – Reduces reticle drag while in first-person mode and grants heat vision in first-person
  • Stabilizer – 50% reduced recoil and 20% faster reload with one-handed weapons
  • Stim Fusion – 15% increased speed and 25% increased dive distance

While the designs could use a bit more refining, they are a great start and the abilities are ones that many would love to have added to the game. We especially like the idea of the mechanic suit that allows you to repair exosuits like the Emancipator. We would like to see the addition of a reload ability for exosuits as well to make it even better.

Many commented on the post letting the creator know that the designs are great. One said, “Oh boy I would love a fireproof armor. Then maybe I would find playing bugs more fun.” One user echoed the thoughts of many by saying, “Yeah that’s something that made me stop playing the game a bit. I want to try something else but the lack of uniqueness or clear strengths always makes me regret my good old trench paramedic’s suit.”

We know that Arrowhead likes to listen to suggestions as long as they are made peacefully. Hopefully, this user’s designs will get noticed by the higher-ups and we will see new armor with great effects added to the game.

Next Helldivers 2 update will not be a “dedicated balance patch”
