If you haven’t heard yet, there is a major patch coming for Helldivers 2 that is set to have dozens of changes and fixes. Many players have been asking for the devs to rebalance the game’s weapons as many have been nerfed since its launch. Players have also been asking for many other quality-of-life features they believe should have been in the game from the start. Well, many will get their wishes when the patch releases later this week. In fact, we now have confirmation as to when the next Helldivers 2 major patch will be released.
Baskinator and Twinbeard have been fairly silent about the next Helldivers 2 update and haven’t been hyping it up as to not anger the players if the patch underperforms. Last Friday, Twinbeard took to the Helldivers 2 Discord server to post a meme about what to expect in the upcoming update. The meme shows many changes players have been asking for such as invite-only lobbies, a fix for the unlimited grenade glitch, and reverting the spawn rate of patrols.
Earlier today, Twinbeard stated that more information about the patch would be coming soon but refused to give a release date for the update. Baskinator, on the other hand, responded to questions about the release date by saying, “We have a social post going out about it later today, but the patch is coming on Thursday.”
It looks like Thursday will be a very important day for the Helldivers 2 community. Not only is the next major patch being released on that day, but Arrowhead is also releasing the Viper Commandos Warbond. This Warbond adds even more weapons to the game plus additional armor, emotes, and even a throwing knife. Thursday is going to be a huge day for Helldivers everywhere so make sure you clear your calendar and make room to help spread some managed democracy.
