If you have been a part of the Helldivers 2 community throughout 2024, you have probably heard the name Twinbeard. He has been a shining star in the community, always letting players know when Arrowhead is working on something and making sure the community’s voice gets heard. This Helldivers 2 CM has been one of everyone’s favorites to work with, and as he had his final day, the community left him with a mighty salute that flooded the game’s Discord server.

Massive Helldivers 2 leaks have been happening recently with one showing a large number of upcoming Illuminate objectives. On top of this, a special Klen Dahth II event has been revealed in leaks. These exciting reveals have left the community wondering what could possibly be next for the game. With all that being said, one of the community’s primary sources of information has left the building. Twinbeard has been well-known for being upfront with the community and letting everyone know what Arrowhead’s plans are. For instance, he recently confirmed changes to the galactic map are coming as well as a better way for players to communicate.

In the past, Twinbeard kept players informed after the Sony debacle happened. On November 29, Twinbeard took to the Discord server to announce his departure saying, “My contract with Arrowhead is coming to an end, and since I have a lot of outstanding vacation, this unfortunately means this will be my last day as Community Manager here.” He went on to say, “From my very first day you welcomed me with open arms and hug emotes. You drew stickers, wrote songs (!) and made me feel beyond appreciated. There’ve been some rough patches, but I always felt that we ventured through the fire tornadoes and sandstorms together. We fought the alien scum and bot menace on the battlefield, experienced the same bugs, and we also turned the tide together. Helldivers 2 is a much healthier game today than it was a few months ago, and it has a bright future alongside all of you. Thank you for sticking with it, us at Arrowhead and me during my service here. Most of you know I neither BS nor lie, so when I say I’m forever grateful for you taking me along this amazing helldive, know that it’s from the bottom of my heart.”

Immediately following the post, many members of the community took to the main Discord channel to post their salutes to honor Twinbeard for his service to the community. The chat soon filled with emotes of various Helldivers saluting the popular CM with many also offering heartfelt words of encouragement for where Twinbeard ends up after this.

Twinbeard let everyone know he “will remain on the server” and to “feel free to say hi or DM me.” He went on to say that “my opinions and replies will be my own and not representative for or on behalf of Arrowhead Game Studios.” Thank you for your service Twinbeard.
