In case you have not seen the latest MO, Helldivers 2 players have been tasked with destroying Meridia due to a planet-wide supercolony. As part of the major order, you get to use a Dark Fluid Pack and players are in love with it. The Helldivers 2 Dark Fluid Pack is everything that the Jump Pack should be and more. Now, players are asking for this new pack to replace the original Jump Pack or for the Jump Pack to at least get a major buff.

Arrowhead is planning a rather large patch that is looking to add a “bit of everything” to the game. With excitement gathering around the patch, many are wondering what will be included. One thing that most likely won’t be part of the patch is a buff to the Helldivers 2 Jump Pack. After all, this item hasn’t seen an update since the game launched.

In a post on Reddit, user Stoukeer stated that the “Dark Fluid Pack is exactly what the default Jump Pack should’ve been.” To back up their claim, they said that it has a quick cooldown and “the power with which it propels you is great.”

Players recently learned that this pack doubles as a Jump Pack. Some even learned about it based on this post alone. While some reacted with complete surprise, others agreed that they needed this item in the game as a permanent stratagem. One user commented, “You should’ve seen me jumping around giggling like a kid. I wish they made the original pack just like this one.”

Another user commented, “What’s even better is that the jump explosion deals damage, so you can technically jump away and kill something at the same time.” Players are giddy over the idea of using this pack and we don’t blame them. After using it ourselves, we found it to be a much better experience than the normal Jump Pack. Arrowhead, you now need to either add this to the game permanently or give the regular Jump Pack a major update.
