Many players complained about the price of the recent first part of the Killzone collab. In response to this backlash, the team has announced that they will be giving out the second part of the Helldivers 2 and Killzone collab to everyone “free of charge.”
Yesterday, Arrowhead received a lot of backlash about the price of the recent Killzone collaboration. This sparked a response from CEO Shams Jorjani who admitted that the team “missed the mark.” Despite the dramatic price increase for the collab, many loved the look and the Arrowhead team stated they are “committed to making sure collabs stay in tune with Helldivers.”
Second half of the Helldivers 2 and Killzone collab gifted “free of charge”
The Helldivers 2 team recently posted on the Helldivers 2 X Page in response to the recent backlash saying, “As Helldivers x Killzone was our first crossover offering, we’ve been listening to the response, and the feedback we’ve received from our community surveys.” They went on to say, “We’ve decided to offer a gift to all players.”
This gift is the second half of the Killzone x Helldivers collab. The team said, “We are gifting to everyone the planned second wave of the collaboration items today, free of charge.” At the time of posting this, the distribution of the items will be happening soon and will come “in two waves.” The team also said that they are “going to extend the duration of the items currently in the Superstore from 5 days to 10 days” and “investigating solutions for how they can bring these items back permanently in the future.” Check out the full briefing about the Helldivers 2 and Killzone collab on the Steam page.
