Helldivers 2 is a fun game that gives players new missions on a regular basis. When one major order is completed, Helldivers 2 players only need to wait a day or two before another one is sent from Joel and high command. Unfortunately, while many are still enjoying the game, there are also many who think that the game has lost its luster thanks to a lack of purpose. Specifically, there are many players who are sick of their galactic war contributions having no real effect on the galactic map, especially when Joel can just turn it around on a moment’s notice.

User xnrnx took to Reddit to share their thoughts about the current state of the galactic war and the fight for managed democracy. In the post, the user stated, “The Joel and his Terminid friends hacked a planet with no supply routes, took it over for the bugs, and instantly attacked cleared planets. This makes me wonder what the point of clearing a sector when all of a sudden a planet magically converts just to make the MO have more time. It also undermines gambit planets.”

Thanks to this instance, the user and many others are rightfully feeling like there is no progress to be made in the fight for managed democracy. The user went on to say, “We need to let them know we don’t want this kind of action again in the game. There are plenty of planets, there’s no need to give one of them over to the enemy because we are going good on the MO.”

The game just did the one thing it could do to lose its appeal.

There are a lot of planets that Arrowhead could utilize but aren’t taking advantage of. It was only recently that players were allowed access to a new planet that has a fresh biome to explore. In response to this post about the Helldivers 2 major orders, one user gave the realization that players have taken Estanu and Fori Prime multiple times in a month. Others pointed out that it seems like they have been fighting on Menkent and Hellmire for what feels like an eternity.

One thing is certain, there needs to be a change made to how Arrowhead handles the major orders in Helldivers 2. This is one of the reasons that now would be a good time to bring in the Illuminate faction. It would give players more planets to explore and a different type of enemy to deal with so they aren’t solely focusing on bots and bugs.
