More and more Illuminate leaks have been coming out of the woodwork lately. Some have even said that they believe the new enemy factor for Helldivers 2 will make an appearance within the next three months. The latest Helldivers 2 leak mentions a new Illuminate device called the Stargate Nexus. Could this be a sign that the Illuminate will be coming to Helldivers 2 soon or is this merely a piece of scrapped content? Let’s break it down.
Recently, the Helldivers 2 community came together to celebrate ex-community manager Twinbeard on his final date. After announcing his leave, the Discord server was full of salutes to honor his hard work and dedication. We have also recently seen a leak talking about a bunch of unreleased Illuminate objectives that could be added to the game when the Illuminate arrive.
Helldivers 2 Illuminate Stargate Nexus
Popular Helldivers 2 leaker IronS1ghts took to their X page to post information about a device called the Stargate Nexus. The Stargate Nexus, as said by the leaker, “is a device used by the Illuminate, that allows them to teleport closer to Super Earth.” The device itself is “located on the Illuminate homeworld.”
This could tie into how the Illuminate will eventually make their way to the galaxy the Helldivers call home. An upcoming event could potentially introduce the Illuminate by having them come through a portal or a wormhole that we create similar to the Meridian black hole.
IronS1ghts added to the post saying, “This may have been scrapped, but the overall concept is still seen in subtitle files.” So there is no telling if this device is still how the Illuminate will appear in Helldivers 2 but it could offer insight into how Arrowhead plans on bringing the new faction in. Perhaps we will see the Illuminate in time for the game’s one-year anniversary after all.
