For a while now, Helldivers 2 players have been waiting for the next major patch to hit the game. Expectations for the patch have been high thanks to social media and journalists but community manager Twinbeard has been trying to keep expectations low. Recently, he stated that this would not be the “mother of all patches.” However, the latest information about the patch seems to prove otherwise as the Helldivers 2 update will have some pretty lengthy patch notes. Oh, and did we mention that the patch is coming next week? Well, that is if everything goes right.
Earlier today, Twinbeard took to Discord to announce the patch through a meme. In the meme, he unveils a little bit of information about the patch. Specifically, it will revert the patrols and spawn rates, add visible supply lines and attack origins to the galactic map, add invite-only lobbies and super samples at level six missions, and include over 100 changes and fixes. For it not being the “mother of all patches,” it certainly has a lot going for it.
Not only did we get more information about the patch, but Twinbeard also announced that it would be released next week. When asked about when we can expect the next patch, Twinbeard replied, “ATM (at the moment) and unless anything changes, ETA is next week.” No exact date was given but patches typically tend to release earlier in the week so we are thinking that Tuesday would be a good day for it to drop.
Next week will be a big deal for Helldivers 2 players. Not only are we getting this large patch, but we are also getting the Viper Commandos Warbond which adds even more guns to the game, a throwing knife, and even armor that looks to be inspired by movies such as Predator. Twinbeard didn’t go into any further detail about the upcoming Helldivers 2 patch but there is no doubt that it will bring many changes.
