Helldivers 2 players have officially demolished the Supercolony on Meridia, leading to its destruction and the formation of a black hole. Those present at the time of its destruction went through an emergency evac to escape the destruction of the planet. Now, those who travel to the Meridia system can witness the black hole through the windows of their ship.
Many have taken to Reddit and other social platforms to celebrate their victory over the Supercolony. Images of the black hole are hard to miss as most of the community seems to be praising it and Arrowhead’s courage to pull off such a monumental in-game feat. While others were busy singing their praises, one user took the time to design a cape to commemorate the occasion.
User Yurishenko94 took to Reddit to share their cape design inspired by the destruction of the Supercolony and the creation of the black hole. The cape features shining purple pillars, the Helldivers logo and a purple aura that fades into black just like the black hole.
One user commented, “I need this. Hell, give us a dark fluid-themed Warbond to celebrate Meridia’s destruction.” We agree that the game needs a Warbond to commemorate this joyous occasion. Another user said, “Sweet freedom that’s gorgeous. Shame there’s no purple fits.” One more user said, “Make it glow and I’m in!”
There is no question about whether this cape is nice or not. The real question is if Arrowhead would add it to the game. Odds are we will never see this cape get implemented in the game but there is a chance we could see some cool designs for armor in the coming days. Many are asking for new armor to be added to the game as well as weapons designed around the black hole. If we could choose a new stratagem, it would be a black hole cannon but many would love to see the return of the Dark Fluid Pack.
