The team behind Helldivers 2 has finally been listening to the fans and changing the game for the better. Recently, Arrowhead released an update for Helldivers 2 that boosted the firepower of many of the game’s weapons. This has led to an increase in player count and better reception for the game as a whole. A recent poll in the Helldivers 2 Discord server shows that we might be getting another change in the near future. What does this poll show? It shows that Helldivers 2 players are tired of ragdolling so much during missions.

Many changes are coming to Helldivers 2. Leaks are showing that vehicles could be coming as well as a clan system. Pilestedt even talked about providing an update for the Jump Pack – something players have long wanted. Along with this, Arrowhead is continuing to listen to the community. Recently, Twinbeard posted a poll on the Helldivers 2 Discord server that reads, “How do you feel about ragdolling in Helldivers 2 at the moment?”

So far, the poll results show that players think the ragdolling is “a bit too much at times.” Over 38% of players think they are being thrown around the map too much and that it should be dialled back a bit. We have to admit that we agree with the statement. The ragdolling can get a bit excessive but we also notice that it is a lot worse on Automaton planets than Terminid planets. It’s important to also note that around 14% of players think the ragdolling is “great” and that Arrowhead should not “change a thing.”

Based on this poll, we believe that Arrowhead may have plans to alter ragdolling in the future. We could see a change that allows players to spend more time on their feet and less time rolling on the ground after getting struck by an enemy. However, we don’t think the change will be massive since a large number of players would be upset if the ragdolling were to be completely turned off.
