The Illuminate have been talked about in Helldivers 2 since the game was first launched back in February. Many fans have been wondering when the enemy race will make an appearance and add a bit more diversity to the game’s list of enemies. Unfortunately, players have only been teased about the Illuminate and that is continuing as a popular leaker has posted a video showcasing the ominous sounds of this enemy faction in Helldivers 2. Perhaps the new faction will be arriving sooner than expected.
Leaker IronS1ghts has been posting a lot of information about the Illuminate in recent weeks. For instance, they recently unveiled the Stargate Nexus that the Illuminate will use to reach Super Earth. They also shared information about all of the objectives that we could see when the Illuminate finally arrive.
IronS1ghts shares sounds made by the Illuminate
After doing a bit more digging into the Helldivers 2 game files, IronS1ghts has managed to uncover various sounds that the Illuminate make. The leaker shared a compilation of these sounds on their X page and we have to say, they are pretty darn ominous. The way the sounds echo gives a dark feeling that helps the race stand out despite not being in the game yet.
One player pointed out in the comments that the enemy faction sounds eerily similar to the Advent aliens from XCOM. Others shared images of soldiers starring off into space, no doubt traumatized by the enemy faction from the original game. We still aren’t sure when the Illuminate will finally make their way to Helldivers 2 but some have said that they believe the faction will make an appearance within the next three months. This is because the one-year anniversary of Helldivers 2 is happening in February and many would like to see the Illuminate make an appearance before the anniversary.
