Disney Dreamlight Valley is filled with various animals for you to feed and befriend. Thanks to the expansion titled A Rift in Time, you can now befriend even more animals. One of the many animals added to the DLC is monkeys. These fun little creatures require you to perform a specific action if you want to befriend them.

Much like all the other animals in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you need to feed a monkey a specific food if you want to befriend it. Feeding it the right food enough times will allow you to have the animal as a companion. This is perfect for anyone who wants to collect all the animals that Eternity Isle has to offer. Here is how to feed and befriend monkeys in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to feed monkeys in Disney Dreamlight Valley

If you want to approach a monkey in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you need to chase it down. This is similar to the rabbits in the base game. When you approach a monkey, it will run away playfully. It will stop a short distance away from where you approached it.

Keep chasing the monkey each time it runs away from you and it will eventually allow you to approach and interact with it. You need to chase the monkey three times for it to allow you to approach. After this, it is feeding time.

What is a monkey’s favorite food in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

Now that you have successfully approached a monkey, you can feed it. Monkeys don’t like just any food. Monkeys love any five-star meal that you can cook them. It does not have to be a specific 5-star meal as any of them will do. Make sure you spend plenty of time cooking so you can feed all of the monkeys in Eternity Isle. While you are waiting for more monkeys to spawn, you can progress through the story and unlock EVE in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
