How do you join the Skull and Bones open beta?
To join the Skull and Bones open beta, you simply need to download it when it becomes available. The beta will be available for preload on February 6, 2024 starting at 1 a.m. PT / 4 a.m. ET. When it becomes available, you can download it through the following storefronts:
- PlayStation Store
- Xbox Marketplace
- Ubisoft Connect
- Epic Games Store
Any of these storefronts will have a page available for the beta. If you are on PC, you can select the “free games” section on the Ubisoft App or the Epic Games App to download the beta. For PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, you can download the beta from the Skull and Bones store page.

Those looking to join the beta can do so at the following times based on your time zone. Ubisoft released a full list of start and end times on the official Skull and Bones website:

- Start time: February 7, 2024 at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET
- End time: February 11, 2024 at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET
- Europe:
- Start time: February 8, 2024 at 3 a.m. CET
- End time: February 12, 2024 at 12 a.m. CET
- Oceania and Asia
- Start time: February 8, 2024 at 1 p.m. AET
- End time: February 12, 2024 at 10 a.m. AET
What content is included in the Skull and Bones open beta?
Those joining the beta will be able to encounter the Ghost Ship, Sea Monster, Merchant Convoys, and Elite Warships Dynamic Events. They will also be able to get up to five rewards including the following:
- Sign Language Emote
- Basilisk I Culverin
- Ship Cosmetics
- “Cookie” the Lemur pet
On top of this, you will also get access to all of the regions to explore and be able to access the helm of your ship. The beta even has crossplay and cross-progression. You will even get to keep your progress when the game officially launches on February 16, 2024.
