Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes the original game and upgrades it by adding additional abilities and collectibles that Fallen Order didn’t have. One of the new features of Jedi Survivor is the ability to get perks. Perks are bonuses that you can equip onto Cal that increase his stats. Some of these bonuses increase his defense while others allow you to deal more damage after switching your lightsaber stance. Equip the right ones and Cal will be a force to be reckoned with. This guide will show you how to unlock and use perks in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

You will automatically unlock perks as part of the game once you reach the planet Koboh. On Koboh, you will have a run-in with a droid who goes by the name of Zee. After helping Zee, they will lead you over to an Essence Crystal. Interact with it to unlock your first perk and perk slots. After this, perks will become available for you to find in the world. They can be found by simply exploring the world, but more specifically, they are given to you by interacting with Essence Crystals or by clearing Rumors.

Once you have unlocked a perk, you can equip it by going to any of the Meditation Points in the game. Once there, select the option that says perks. This will bring you to a new screen where you can see all of your perks. You will have three slots to use. Not all perks cost one slot, some will cost two and some will even cost all three of your slots. Make sure you are picky about which perks you enter combat with.
