So in today's Game Byte, I decided to throw my tinfoil hat on

and kind of forecast what the next Pokemon game could possibly be

And of course, we're going to be doing this in order of least likely to most likely

Without further ado, let's get going. Up first is an idea we shouldn't really spend too much time on here

so let's get this out of the way, I don't think we're getting Gen 10

Pokemon over the years has stuck to this rather strict release schedule

with its mainline games coming out every three years. And we just got Scarlet and Violet back in 2022

But keep your eyes peeled for 2025 more specifically, I'm calling it now November 2025

Up next is a game I think could possibly go either way depending on the subject matter

Pokemon Legends Arceus was a game that released to very positive fan reception

and it did that by taking that original formula when talking about how we play

and revamping it entirely, which really injected some much needed life into these games

And quite honestly, Pokemon appeared to be rather stagnant after Sun and Moon

Now the only wrench in the plan here is, the game was well received by fans

and sold about 14.8 million copies. But it kind of lagged behind other releases in the series

like Brilliant Diamond which sold around 15.6 million copies, and the Let's Go games which sold around the same amount

But hey, speaking about the Let's Go games, how about we dive back into that pool

and take the natural step forward, and release the Let's Go Johto games
