Palworld is the monster-catching game that has caught the eyes of many. Those who have seen it refer to the game as “Pokemon with guns.” While this title is humorous, there are still plenty of questions about the game. For instance, is Palworld multiplayer?
Since Palworld is an open-world RPG, understandably, many would want the game to have multiplayer mechanics. Being able to roam the world and catch Pals with your friends is exciting to think about. We would love to go on a monster-catching spree with our buddies. So is Palworld multiplayer? If so, what is the multiplayer like?
Does Palworld have multiplayer and co-op?
Yes. Palworld does have multiplayer and you can play online with your friends. The game will be released in early access in January 2024. Online co-op was confirmed on the official Palworld Steam Page. Here, you can find information about the multiplayer mechanics.
The multiplayer portion of the game will allow you to invite up to three friends to your world. This way you can enjoy the game in 4-player co-op. On top of that, dedicated servers will allow up to 32 players to play together in one massive world. We assume that you will be able to invite other players that you run into to a group. Part of the trailers for the game also show multiple players taking on a larger Pal at one time.
The Steam Page also states that PvP will be added in a future update. When this update will be, we don’t know but it will certainly make things a bit more interesting. The page also states that an increase in server size will come in a future update. This could possibly see the servers increase from 32 to 64 players. If so, that would be a good increase that would help make the world feel more lively.
