We are all “patiently” waiting for Nintendo to reveal the Switch 2 officially, but until that happens, all we have to rely on are leaks. If you are looking for another gift to look forward to on Christmas, it appears that someone has gotten their hands on the upcoming console and its dock and will be posting pictures of it on Christmas on the subreddit r/NintendoSwitch2.
If you are particularly interested in seeing the Nintendo Switch 2, we do recommend taking this with a grain of salt. Fake leaks happen all of the time on the internet, and there’s always a multitude of ways to fake something like this. That being said, a moderator for the subreddit has said they have obtained “proof” from the user, going by a burner account named NextHandheld. The reason they say they are waiting until Christmas is to make it less obvious who they are. They supposedly have not turned on the console.
Suppose we are to believe that this person is actually in possession of a Switch 2. In that case, there are some interesting aspects that they have revealed in the thread, including a particular game getting a special edition, how the console compares to its predecessor weight-wise, and the dock’s form. They also teased “something new in the joy-cons.”
While you are completely free to look over the Reddit thread and see what this leaker has to say, we remind you not to jump to conclusions. While they say the Switch 2 console they have is the final version that will be shipped next year, we still don’t know for sure if this is real. Much of what they are saying has been in other leaks, so they could just be working off of those things.
