If you accept the offer, Red Fox and Black Cat will join you as temporary companions. They will go around the streets of the Malum District with you and help you defeat all the foes along the way.
They will help for a while but ultimately stop when you reach the Black Rabbit hideout. At that point, they will wait outside while you go in and finish the enemies off. Afterward, you can talk to the pair again to continue the questline.
