Life is Strange: Reunion has been rated by PEGI. The organization gave the game a rating of 16+, but that isn’t the strange part, so to speak. What is weird about it is that the company spoiled a key part of the game. This spoiler also canonizes a key character event that took place in the first game in the series – something that every other game avoided until now, including the latest title, Life is Strange: Double Exposure.
For those who want to go into this game blind, you should avoid reading further, as it will only spoil some key parts of the game.
Life is Strange: Reunion PEGI Score Spoils Key Character Event
Those who played the first Life is Strange title know that Chloe Price, the best friend of Max Caulfield, was a key part of the game. Much of the game centered around Max’s and her relationship, and the ending decided whether Chloe lived or died.
Every game in the series that mentions the events that took place in the first game leaves the fate of Chloe obscured, or you choose which ending you went with. For instance, in Life is Strange: Double Exposure, you choose whether Chloe is alive or dead at the beginning of the game. This then affects various parts of the game going forward.

We now know the score given to Life is Strange: Reunion by PEGI, but even more so, we also seemingly know the true fate of Chloe Price. If you look at the outline of the game given by PEGI, it reads, “Chloe Price was Max Caulfield’s partner in time… Losing her is Max’s greatest regret. Now Chloe has come to Caledon University. Haunted by nightmares and impossible memories, Chloe needs Max’s help. But Max is already in crisis: in three days, a deadly inferno will destroy the campus.”
There are a few possible outcomes here. First, this could be the development team canonizing the ending of Life is Strange, where Chloe lives, and the town is destroyed. Second, since Life is Strange: Double Exposure took place across two timelines, this may be the timeline where Chloe is still alive. Of course, that brings up an entirely different can of worms. Finally, it could be that Max’s timeline manipulation in Double Exposure caused a ripple that brought Chloe back to life. We will need to wait for the game’s release to find out.
