Pokémon TCG: Pocket is off to a strong start, but leaks surrounding the game have been few and far in between. That said, data miners have dug up a little bit of info for Season 1 and what lies beyond. According to various leakers, Season 1, better known as the Genetic Apex Set, will conclude on January 29, 2025. This most likely points to the idea that Pokémon TCG: Pocket Season 2 will start just after at the end of January. Within this subreddit post, it was stated that “January 29, 2025: Set A2 will be released, a new complete set similar in scope to Genetic Apex that contains 226 cards.” As far as these new cards go the leak goes on to suggest that they will carry on the classic season one strategy of releasing special promo cards through the season “released approximately six weeks after each main set.”
Pokémon TCG: Pocket is off to a rather hot start amongst fans. In a recent announcement, Creatures Inc. announced the game has surpassed 30 million downloads within the first nine days it’s been available. As for the game’s earnings, it has netted a rather impressive $12 million in only its first four days. When it comes to a game and property as popular as Pokémon, this leaves a ton of users wondering what is next for this new mobile venture?
It was also discovered through this alleged leaked roadmap a boat load of new items and gameplay features will be coming to Pokémon TCG: Pocket Season 2 in the form of new types of tickets, rainbow rare cards, new flair designs and a new fishing mode that resembles the current wonder pick mode.
Of course, when it comes to leaks and rumors, take it all with a massive grain of salt because a lot can change on the development side of things between now and then, but when talking strictly about mobile games like this, consistent content rollout is important to keep the game in the public eye and keep users coming back for more.
