Pokémon TCG Pocket has found a nice rhythm when referring to a consistent rollout of content and new cards being added to the game. Just this year alone, multiple sets have been released nearly every month. New features pop up from time to time and we now have access to ranked battles and trading. This hot streak looks to continue with the latest expansion to Pokémon TCG Pocket in the form of the Celestial Guardians.
The Pokémon Company just revealed via a blog post that the Celestial Guardians update is headed our way starting April 30. This expansion looks to feature a ton of Pokémon from the Alola region found in the Pokémon Sun and Moon games. With this expansion comes two new booster packs that will feature the legendaries Solgaleo and Lunala. As for what exact cards will be featured within the set, it was revealed via the below trailer that Pokémon such as the regional starter trio of Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio will be introduced. Alolan Raichu EX will also be included in the mix.
The Pokémon Company was also quick to mention that starting on May 1 players can gain new accessories such as a new binder cover and display board which will feature Rowlett. Last, but not least, as with every new set comes a new wave of drop events and special missions that will no doubt keep players coming back for more.
The main question a lot of people had when Pokémon TCG Pocket was first announced was how often should we expect new content? When looking at how frequently Pokémon TCG Pocket releases new sets and features we can’t help but be satisfied with what you get within the game. Releasing a mix of larger and smaller sets gives users more than enough reason to pop in and rip open a few packs. Adding in ranked battles and trading now give players countless ways to engage with the game for the foreseeable future.
