Scions of the Dark Goddess is a present-day campaign for Call of Cthulhu 7E (seal of Chaosium). Created by Shadowlands Games and placed on BackerKit for funding, it had an initial goal of €9,000. Not only did it reach this goal in 20 minutes, but still with 15 days left it is currently funded at €107,088 with over 1,300 backers. The campaign will continue until May 30th, so there is still plenty of time to join in on the horror fun!
The Scions of the Dark Goddess game is perfect for Call of Cthulhu fans. It adapts the cycle of the Black Goat with a Thousand Young Mythos and uses themes that are relevant to our modern society such as bioengineering and social media. The narrative takes place in the United States in 2024. It is organized across six chapters filled with mystery, conspiracy, and of course cosmic horror. It includes 60+ handouts with many of them being interactive through videos, podcast snippets, and social media accounts. There are also 20 pre-generated characters, 17 maps, and stats for 47 NPCs and nine creatures.

There is a multitude of backer-specific rewards to take advantage of. Exclusive dice, a collector’s box, and more are included in various backer levels. The game will be printed in both English and Spanish and will ship worldwide.
Digital content in a PDF format will be sent out three months after the funding campaign ends. Physical shipments are expected to begin December 2024.
