Pro skateboarder Tyshawn Jones says he is in a new Tony Hawk remaster game coming out soon in a appearance on the radio show Breakfast Club Power 105.1 FM. While discussing his rising status, and all the things he’s appearing in soon, he quickly mentioned that he is one of the playable characters in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, as well as an upcoming game. He says it at the 22:00 marker in the video below.

Back in September, Tony Hawk said that he was, “talking to Activision again which is insanely exciting. We’re working on something,” which gives even more fuel to the speculation of a new remaster. He has said in the past that he wanted to follow-up the most recent successful remake bundle with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, but that was quickly canceled during some business shifting at Activision. Years later, and after the Microsoft acquisition, things supposedly have changed.

What Tony Hawk remaster is coming?

While we would also be fully in support of a remaster of Tony Hawk’s Underground 1 + 2, bringing back Pro Skater 3 + 4 first makes more sense to us at this moment. Both games were highly beloved releases in the early 2000s, with 3 in particular remaining one of the highest aggregated review scores on Metacritic of all time. If the Underground games make a return following that release, we would be very happy, though.

With Tyshawn Jones and Tony Hawk both alluding to a new release, we would say look towards an Xbox Showcase in June for a possible announcement. That being said, there is no telling how far along in production this is, so it could be a year or two away still.

Nowadays, he is merely counting the days down until Bioshock and Banjo-Kazooie make their reemergence back in the market.
